Our first nature walk!

Last week I bought us notebooks to start a nature journal or field journal as Alyssa calls it. We have been having so much fun with them. Last week we went to Dover Park and they recorded all the neat things they saw. Some of the things they wrote down were 2 mallard ducks, bass fish, pond, white pine trees and bud were starting to grow on the trees.

Friday was our first spring nature walk! Its so neat to me that this is school time. I love it! We walked around our yard looking for signs of spring.

Its funny to me the different things they noticed. Brian said he always knows its spring because the kids have on flip flops and mommy is barefoot! Taylor wasnt really in the mood today to notice much because the sun was bothering her. I think she just wanted to play on the computer! :P Alyssa noticed the dandelions. Carter heard the birds chirping and Morgan found alittle purple flower.

You never cease to amaze me:-) This is such a great idea. The way you look forward to my songs, well, that is the way I will be looking forward to your blog.

I love the fact that you are able to have the pictures in with your writing.

I was really touched by your first blog. It is funny how our lives turn out so much different than we ever expected or dreamed. To me you are the luckiest girl in the world. You are blessed with 4 beautiful children and more than the average challenges that go along with motherhood, and yet you seem to have mastered it with so much love and grace.

You and Brian are wonderful parents and when your kids grow up, they will be a reflection of all the important things, the things that really matter. And that will have to be one of the greatest feelings.

Keep up the blog, I can't wait for the next writing.

    I love you!!!
